Just out of curiosity what are the common criticism? I saw it and I thought it was pretty well-rounded, with no obvious flaws (that doesn’t make it perfect though). Always happy to hear contrary opinions though. The power scale of the different people bothered me. Comics kingpin has regularly been shown to be INSANELY strong, though. There’s a commonly thrown around scan of golden age kingpin swinging around a ton on dumbells like it’s nothing. I think the same thing with Avatar, while the movie is just stunning and beautiful, the script is just meh, the romance is just awful. I love both movies for just the world that was built not the characters. The only plus I could think of is the choreography, but it still wasn’t anything special. I 100% agree. It felt like one of the most hollow, manufactured, and soulless Back Off I Have A Crazy Finnish Mummu And I’m Not Afraid To Use Her Shirt musicals I’ve ever seen, and I generally enjoy Hollywood renditions of musicals (Rent, Sweeney Todd, etc.). The Greatest Showman had somewhat catchy tunes, but the music was autotuned to hell and back in a horrific way. The CG scenes taking place in ~1910s NYC just look like crap. The story made NO goddamn sense. The only plus I could think of is the choreography, but it still wasn’t anything special. I wasn’t sure where to put this, but since she talks about exactly this pretty in-depth.

Did not change the fact that it was a Bull After God made Me He Said Ta Da Shirt boring movie. You know how sometimes a movie is considered “so bad it’s good”? For me, Lincoln was “so good it’s bad”. Every line was so eloquent, every putdown so perfectly timed, every acting choice so well-calculated that after a while, I had trouble seeing the humanity in the characters. They always had the exact right thing to say at the exact right time in the exact right way- and no humans are truly like that. Watching the film was like looking at a photograph that’s been retouched so much that the subject seems less like. A person and more like a CGI human in the Bull After God made Me He Said Ta Da Shirt valley. In the same way, Lincoln is in the uncanny valley- not of human appearance but of humanity itself. Seriously, this is not a joke. I wish I could re-live it and feel the same way again. Master Chief And Arbiter Inspired Art Prints, “Gods Among” Shirt . Part of the reason I’m so disappointed in Destiny is how good these games were. It’s just not the same without Joseph Staten and Marty O’Donnell. The best way I’ve heard them described is that Joe is the brains of Halo and Marty is the soul. Staten wrote the hard story and dialogue, while Marty made the moments epic and memorable.
